  • Forbury Garden - good for a picnic or walk. Stay away from the edges.
  • King's Meadow - good for a picnic or walk; small playground.
  • Christchurch Meadows - good playground.
  • Rivermead Leisure Centre - playground outside; soft play and cafe inside (£4 entry for soft play).
  • Prospect Park - very big and beautiful, but will need a bus ride.

Museums

  • Museum of English Rural Life - has chickens, a cafe, and a small green space outside.

  • Greyfriars / The Atrium - has a nice play area.

  • Me Kong - Chinese food; Noah loves this place and the staff are very friendly!

Excursions

  • Goring, Twyford & Wokingham - cute small towns that are nice to take a walk in. Easy to get to by train from Reading. Goring has a really nice riverside walk.
  • Matilda Too - a boat ride on the Kennet that runs on Fridays during summer holidays. visit-reading.com
